The first artist that I have chosen is Algis Kemezys. I love nature and I liked how Algis uses it as an inspiration for his art work. I also found it cool that he makes a dark background and makes an accent with bright colors. For example in this work he used yellow bright flowers as the main "characters" in his work. On the second picture he added some line. I would like to know what it is and how he made it, because I found it very creative.

Another artist that I liked is Marty Klein. As he states "in his art works he strives to portray essences, glories of natural world and colors, the familiar and less-seen details." He gets inspiration from the nature and its beauty. Marty uses scanning first, then edits his works on Photoshop. In most of his photos we can see the precise symmetry of the objects. Also since he uses products of nature such as leaves, flowers, mushrooms etc, we can notice that green, red and yellow colors and their variations are prevailing in photos.

Part 2:

Since I am an exchange student and expected to share my culture, I wanted to make my scanning works related to it. In my works you can see many Kyrgyz patterns, called "oimolor", dried fruits (apricots, raisins), nuts. I added them because they are widely spread in my country. On the 5th image I have scanned "komuz"- musical instrument and dried apricots together,  since best komuzs are usually made out of apricot trees.

Project 1 collage:

My work is about orphans life. By my work I wanted to raise awareness of the struglles they may face, so that some people may see and maybe decide to help.
